Parent's Appreciation Month
February is Parent's Appreciation Month. One of our goals at the Peaceful Warriors' is to help children understand how important family is. The junior students will be receiving assignment to help them understand and appreciate were they come from. It will be an exciting month!
CMATC 2008
Student's are still talking about the CMATC 2006 held in London Ontario almost two years ago. Why? Because it was one of the most amazing and rewarding events any martial art student or instructor will ever participate in! The event is ope to both children and adults. The kids sessions are held on Saturday, when they will learn many new skills, from various instructors. The kids sessions are about 60 minutes each and run most of the day. They learn skills not normally taught in class and sometimes not even taught in this art. Adult sessions run over the entire weekend.
The Canadian Martial Arts Training Conference features world renown instructors, from across the globe. This years instructors will feature some of the following. Grand Master Leon Jay. Grand Master Jay is the son of Small Circle Jujitsu founder Wally Jay. Leon has spent his entire life in the arts and grew up with Bruce Lee in his home. GM Jay currently lives in England. Grand Master Frank Trejo. Also nicknamed Frank the Tank, GM Trejo is a 10th Dan Black Belt in American Kenpo and was a direct student of Founder Ed Parker. GM Trejo has taught celebrities including David Lee Roth and Elvis Presley. He currently lives and runs a school in California.
Master Ken Smith is also on the card for this event. Master Smith is a 10th Dan Black Belt in Modern Arnis and was a direct student of Professor Remy Presas. Modern Arnis employs 'short sticks' in it's techniques. Other instructors will include Grand Master Steve Stewart and Master Chad Barry.
This is only the beginning. More information will follow soon! Mark November 1st and November 2nd 2008 on your calendar. Don't miss out!
