Student of the Month in Windsor
Windsor's Student of the Month is Ana Armstrong. Ana is a Green Belt and has show some amazing growth over the last few months. She is becoming very focus, is very hard working and has set her sites on being a Black Belt. Great job Ana!
Student of the Month in Belle River
Our Student of the Month in Belle River is Black Belt Natalie Lauzon. Natalie is currently a 1st Bo Dan Black Belt and is eligible to test in May for her 2nd. She has been with our school a long time, dating back to our origins at Beach Walk Family Fitness. Since moving up to adult class some time ago she has show great progress. We look forward to seeing her grow in the martial arts even more over the coming years.
Student of the Month in St. Clair Beach
Our Student of the Month in St Clair Beach is Jackson Dollar. It is not often that we have a student who is this new to our school make student of the month. Keep up the great work Jackson!
New Student Website
Those of you who have been on our New Student Website know what a great place it is to be! The website is setup like a community webpage, with forums, games, event calendar and much, much more! 2 of our Black Belt in the Toronto area setup a place for The Peaceful Warriors' on Facebook as many of you know. It has been quite popular, but not as popular as I would have hoped. I know that many people are a little nervous of thse public forums.
Our student website offers many of the same features as these community services do, but without the risk of outsiders getting in and causing problems. Drop in today to our student website and create you account. This process only takes a few minutes.
Black Belt Extravaganza 2008
The time is fast approaching for our annual Black Belt Extravaganza 2008. This years event will be even better than the previous years. Grand Master Steve Stewart and Master Chad Barry will be our guests at the Graduation Ceremony on Saturday evening. They will also be conducting seminars for our Graduates on Sunday. If you are eligible to test for rank, get your applications in ASAP. Application are due no later than April 30th 2008. They will not be accepted after this date. See you all there!
Tournament in Michigan
On Saturday April 5th our Tournament Team will be participating in a tournament in Dearborn Michigan. This is a great event and I am going to open it up to any non-tournament team student who is interested in competing. For more information on this tournament please see your instructor or email Riccardo Pappini as soon as possible.
Demo Team
The Demo Team practice scheduled for April 5th has been canceled due to our involvement in the tournament listed above. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
Annual School Camping at Rondeau Park
Our annual school camping trip to Rondeau Park is coming fast. The dates for this years event are Friday July 18th to Sunday July 20th. Last summers trip was a blast! You can see pictures from the 3 days of camping on our Photo Gallery on the student website.
Bojuka Seminar in Chatham
When Master Chad Barry was at our school in January giving a workshop on his art which is called Bojuka, the adults who were in attendance had a BLAST! Well, on Saturday April12th 2008 in Chatham Ontario you once again have the opportunity to work with Master Barry once and, but this time his instructor and Bojuka Founder Tom Schrenk will be there as well. This workshop is a rare chance so don't miss out. For more information on attending this event please DOWNLOAD this PDF file. That's right, a large percent of our new students come from our members and parents just talking about us with family and friends! Perfect Attendance Award
We would like to congratulate all this Peaceful Warriors' students who will be receiving the Perfect Attendance Award this month! These students were in class twice per week from January 7th to March 22nd. Congratulations to Gary Herriot, Dylan Baillie, Kristelle Canlas, Austin Gignac, Quinton Gignac, Kasper Klimski, Philip Klimski, Aryan (Ian) Kurniawan, Issac Little, Riley Garant and Dustin Lesperance. We have an NEW events calendar available on the student website. This calendar gives much more detailed information on the coming events. The other format will be eliminated over the next few month as student become accustomed to the website.
